ChaCha at Superbowl XLIV | February 9th, 2010

Posted by Justin Keller (Justin K) | Category General   |   Comments Comments Disabled

Van!Last Friday, a few people from the ChaCha family made their way to Miami for the Superbowl in their trusty ChaCha van.  They said that as they were driving by, there wasn’t a single person who didn’t slow down to see what the van said.

Through a lot of sweet talking and favor-cashing they were able to park right up in the very front, where over 15,000 people walked by.

Park!

They talked to about 2,000 football fans, gave away about 150 t-shirts and about 600 egrips.  They met people from all over the world- including a number of folks from ESPN Brasil, who had actually heard of ChaCha!  They couldn’t use it back home, of course, but they were totally aware of it!

SWAT!
Those wisecracks also gave a ChaCha “Search Me” tshirt to this SWAT Team member.  How appropriate!

In their words, “the ChaCha Fan Base was present” and all kinds of people came up to them and showed them the love.  Even though our home-team, The Colts, lost the game it was a great opportunity for ChaCha to be present and, if the Colts had to lose to anyone we’re glad it was The Saints!

Thanks to all of our Guides who participated in our Super Bowl Sunday contest!  Look for the Guaranteed Cash earners to be posted later today!

Posted by Benjamin (bsutton) | Category General   |   Comments Comments Disabled

Just a quick little congrats to mich1978 for correctly guessing the final score for Super Bowl 44.  Mich1978 hit the nail on the head with her correct guess of 31-17 Saints.  Mich1978 will win a nice little prize pack from ChaCha for playing along.

Thanks! | February 8th, 2010

Thanks to everyone who helped provide ChaCha magic today to our ChaCha fans and to new ChaCha users.  It looks to be another record-breaker.  Watch my blog for photos of the ChaCha van, which traveled to Florida on Friday and spent the weekend in South Florida spreading the word to fans in person!

Also a thank you to our technical team who spent weeks preparing for the increase in volume today - work that will lay the groundwork for even greater query volumes as we continue to lift question limits and ChaCha spreads through word of mouth.

We will pay out contest earnings this week, so watch for more on that to come soon!

February’s (Really Awesome) Guide Referral Contest! | February 2nd, 2010

Posted by Justin Keller (Justin K) | Category General   |   Comments Comments Disabled

We are starting a new Referral Contest for the month of February! This contest is even better than last month’s with more winners! There are some details we need to share with you to be sure this all runs smoothly.

When thinking of the best people to refer to the Guiding community, think of fun, energetic people who love to share their knowledge with others! Maybe you know a Sports Nut, or a Smarty Pants, maybe a Trivia Whiz, or a Farmville Addict, etc.

Now that you have those people in mind, remember these keys to success:

  • Most important, be sure that anyone you refer enters your EXACT email address on file for your Guide account in the Referral Box on their application. We cannot go back and change that information after they are in the system.
  • Only people who pass the Readiness Test and are on-boarded as a live Guide count.
  • We will be verifying all data and accounts that are created. So no funny business!
  • This contest begins now, so referrals before today do not count towards this contest, and this contest ends February 28th at 11:59pm EST. Meaning that anyone who passes the Readiness test and is on-boarded has to have completed their Readiness test by the end of the contest.

You probably want to know a little more about this contest!  So here’s how you can go about winning.  Simply send us more referrals than anyone else and you get first prize.  There’s tons of chances to win, so give it a shot!

$75 – First Place
$50 – Second Place
$25 – Third Place
$20 – Fourth thru Eighth Place (five winners)
$10 – Ninth thru Eighteenth Place (ten winners)
$5 – Nineteenth thru Thirty-Eighth Place (twenty winners)

What about last month’s contest? We will determine the winners of last month’s contest tomorrow as we await the last of the referrals to be graded and on-boarded.

Well that about covers it! Good luck in your recruitment efforts!
